Sean and his crew installed oak flooring in the living room of a small cabin I have been remodeling. He provided great advice to me about how I should prepare the sub floor before he installed and finished the tongue and groove flooring. I provided the flooring which came from two different sources with very different widths and lengths. We got a couple bids for redoing our floors. Regrettably we chose the less expensive bid that ultimately cost us way more in the end. The first contractor didn't have the proper tools for the job and definitely didn't have the knowledge the whole thing was a disaster to say the least damage beyond the floors. We embarrassingly called Sean to come take a look. Sean was very understanding and not only more than happy to fix our floors but him and his team were there the next day to get started. Cannot say enough about the quality and professional service provided by this company. They repaired and refinished hardwood floors that had been hidden under carpet for 60+ years. The floors turned out beautifully, and without being asked Sean came back a couple days later to install new grout around the hearth, and then to paint the grout. Sean and his crew completed 3 different floor installations for us (2 residential and 1 commercial) using a variety of different wood species. We couldn’t be happier with the customer service, the scheduling of the installation, or the final product. We are on year 4 of our new floors at home, and I love them more every day. Sean also has an affinity for creative patterns and installations, which we chose to explore with the inclusion of live edge borders on our transitions. Our commercial space was done using salvaged maple flooring, and the floor looks amazing! Shawn refinished our beat up wood floor and stairs. Not much square footage, but lots of footage of baseboards, transitions to other flooring, lots of inside corners. Estimate was clear and specific, the price fair. He scheduled us for a set date, 4 months out. He showed up on time, and finished in the time frame promised. The quality of the work is top notch. I worked in construction for decades, and have seen many new wood floors, and am happy to say this refinish looks as good as anything I've seen. He worked fast, used a superior collector. No mess. Charlie’s Master Carpentry went above and beyond my expectations. I hired them to refinish my hardwood floors in a house that was built in 1951 and had carpet and vinyl over the hardwood floors, and the hardwoods had damage from the carpet installation as well as from the previous owner not cleaning up pet urine which soaked through the carpet and left dark stains on the hardwoods. When I took the carpet up the floors looked terrible, but Sean and his crew made them look beautiful! They did an amazing job taking the vinyl floor up in the kitchen and refinishing those hardwoods as well. They had to do repairs in several areas, and they went above and beyond what I expected of them. The pricing was also very fair for all of the work they did. When I was calling around for quotes, I called a couple of other companies that also do hardwood floor repairs and one of them actually told me to call Charlie’s Master Carpentry because he said he is the best in the area, and he was right. Everyone who works there is extremely helpful, reliable and friendly. I cannot recommend them enough!
